富楼那白佛言:“世尊,我本作何罪障,于一劫中发阿耨多罗三藐三菩提心而还退失?”佛言:“富楼那,随逐依止恶知识故,又不能广流布法故,汝于阿耨多罗三藐三菩提心而还退失。”

有为界,都是在十八界法,以及由十八界法作助缘而辗转从入胎识中出生的一切法,这些是有为界;意思是说,这些法都是三界中的有为法;而这些有为法都是有其功能差别的,所以也都有功能上的限制,名为有为界。至于无为界,是说不住于生死轮转之法中,即是说无余涅槃之本际,也就是第八识如来藏。
